23 years later, this local mud crab haven is still at it.


Red Crab Seafood & Steaks first opened its doors in Clark, Pampanga in July of 1998. Chiqui Eusebio, the restaurant's matriarch, recounts starting with just a handful of crab dishes from her own personal recipes like Szechuan Crab and Crab Adobo, the former being an instant hit among the patrons at the Mimosa Golf Club and Casino. Meanwhile, the latter was inspired by Chiqui's version of the Filipino fiesta classic, using only the highest quality alimango (mud crabs) that's simmered in its own roe and fat, making the dishes rich and flavorful.

The crowd favorite Crab Maritess came months later when Maritess Revilla-Araneta asked the kitchen to have her mud crab cooked the way she liked it - with olive oil, garlic, and chilies.


Nowadays, Chiqui's son Raymund Magdaluyo still continues this crab-tastic journey and legacy of Red Crab. From bringing the concept to Metro Manila with five branches to date (Shangri-la Plaza, Tomas Morato, Eastwood Mall, Newport Mall RWM, and Greenbelt 3), with the help of his sister, Chef Nikki the original Red Crab chefs, have and continues to serve new crab creations on their menu.



Fast forward to 2021

The Red Crab has adapted not only to the ever-demanding Filipino palate but also to the still ongoing pandemic. With on and off lockdowns and dealing with a growing list of dine-in protocols, they still make sure to give the best mud crabs to their customers even to those who prefer staying at home via The Red Crab Delivery Website.


This gave birth to Alimango House by The Red Crab, which features sumptuous crab trays for takeout with the most outstanding and delicious sauces, each one inspired by either local and international flavors.
